Real Offer in the Gospel

Look at what we have in the Gospel, men and women!  We have true inclusivity – our message is for all without exception.  It is for all indiscriminately because of what Christ has done on the Cross for all indiscriminately.  The two match perfectly.  We are not offering some kind of a “pig in a poke” to lost sinners.  Nor are we pretending when we preach that what Christ did was for them, when we know that that may not be the case.  We are not doing that for we are not into that kind of thing.  We can tell them, Christ died for you.  We have something REAL to offer people, and something GENUINE to say to poor lost sinners, people without hope and “without God in the world.”[1]  We can tell them that God loves them and that “Christ died for them.”  “There is salvation in Christ for you if only you repent of your sins toward God and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ.”[2]  We can say to them, “One day you will meet Christ, who is the Judge of all the earth – therefore repent of your sin and believe in the Saviour.”[3]
